My favorite movies!

My favorite movies include Moulin Rouge! and Amélie.
La Moulin Rouge is famous for inventing the can-can dance! This is a small cafe down the street from it that is famous for being where Amélie works in the movie. One thing these movies have in common other than they are set in Paris is that they both have a little bit of fantasy to them to really understand what emotions the characters are feeling. I have two clips in this blog and at the end of both, you see the fantasy part.

My first stop was to see the Moulin Rouge. This area of Paris is called the Red Light district, and If you know the lyrics to "Roxanne" by the Police, you will understand what kind of area this is.

Roxanne
You don't have to put on the red light
Those days are over
You don't have to sell your body to the night
Roxanne
You don't have to wear that dress tonight
Walk the streets for money
You don't care if it's wrong or if it's right

I went on a Sunday afternoon when I knew I would be safe. I don't plan on going at night for sure, but this is what the movie is kind of about. Prostitution in Paris at the Moulin Rouge. My favorite part is when "Your song" by Elton John is sung by Ewan Mcgregor.

Then for the Cafe, I found a table inside and got an amazing Crème Brûlée! And just like Amélie in the movie, I had fun cracking the hardend caramel layer on the top with my spoon.
