The best of Paris by night

First, Check out my awesome new layout! Thanks Ali of Petals And Freckles! Shes Adorable. Newly wed, Newly mom, and pretty sharp when it comes to layouts.

I love going on little adventures to do frenchy things and eat frenchy food. Probably my two favorite places to go in the evenings are the Latin Quarter and Montmartre. Both areas are very rich in culture.

First the Latin Quarter. I've gone there many times for dinner because this area has a lot of different restaurants to choose from that aren't very expensive. If we're really lazy, we just find a grocery store, buy sandwiches or pastries, and eat at a park or on a bench somewhere. One friday night, my friend Molly and I bought pastries and speculoos and sat down by the seine river and waved at people on cruises as they went by.

Montmartre is the name of the area in the 18th arrondissement where this is a huge hill and the Sacré Coeur on top. That is a happenin' place in the evenings.

Also in Montmartre is La Moulin Rouge of course. We went there first to take pictures.

And there's the Sacré Coeur. We didn't take the stairs or the lift up the hill. We walked uphill to the top and it was painful. I recommend the lift.

We went in the basement of the church!

 Bones!

Jesus! We were very entertained by the church.

Here's the view you get when you're at the front doors of the church. That's Paris! The Eiffel Tower is more to the right so it's not pictured.

There's the Sacré Coeur! and it was windy.

In front of the Sacré Coeur, there are many people selling things, performing, and trying to get money. This place is famous for having mimes. The ones I've seen are usually wearing all one color like white or gold and they pretend to be a statue. Then they start moving around when people are close by, and it always freaks people out. Kinda hilarious.

But this is who we found performing on the steps.  We stayed and listened for a while. He was pretty good!

Thank you Ramon from Barcelona
